Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) is one of Indonesia’s native plants belonging to Zingiberaceae family. The plant has been extensively used for treatment various diseases such as inflammation and digestive tract swelling, gallstones, liver, dyspepsia, antispasmodic. rhizome becomes the plant’s part that most. contains a compound could work an antibacterial. An extract may be obtained through extraction process, some extractions would in this research review soxhletation, maceration, ultrasound assisted (UAE). As methods both involving simple complex ones were found, it was shown result content are therefore varied, which also affecting level resulted antibacterial effectiveness.
